Please be advised we are currently experiencing a very high level of call-outs due to the Sod Webworm outbreak and current response times are 2-4 days, response to this email may make further impact on these times, we appreciate your patience during this busy time

I really wanted to say something funny here but after ten minutes of staring at the screen blankly while my kids screamed at each other behind me about who cuddles which dog I gave in and this is what you got.
In case you are interested Auggy got Bubba for 7 minutes and Maggie got Luna for 6 minutes until they both lost interest.
Sod Webworm outbreak
  • The outbreak has now exploded in 77069, 77070 and 77429 but with cases being seen in all the surrounding areas.
  • Although some people are spotting it early we are now getting multiple cases of damage not being noticed until it is severe (PLEASE monitor your lawn)
  • Please note that once the damage is severe it will be long lasting
  • We suggest that you assume that any damage you see is Webworm damage and follow our recommendations, we will be sending our list in a separate email titled Do’s and Don’ts. PLEASE be aware these recommendations can make the difference between your lawn surviving or dying.
  • We suggest that everyone keeps Monterey BT, Summit BT or organic worm/caterpillar specific in liquid form to hand to treat in case immediate treatment becomes necessary. Please do NOT use a general chemical pesticide
  • In order to meet the response to the Webworm outbreak we are behind with the application and have made the decision to postpone non Webworm related topdressings and aerations by 2-3 weeks. We are looking for extra hands to help out so if anyone knows someone who would like work and can tolerate working outside please let us know. We really appreciate your patience at this time and hope to get up to speed once we have extra help.
